Membership Introduction

J.E. Taylor Hunt Club, Inc. is a whitetail managed Hunt Club. We strive to produce quality bucks for our membership through management policies designed to allow young bucks time to reach prime size.
We also participate in the Deer Management Assistance Program to improve the overall health of the deer herd. Each deer killed on the property must be checked in at our game check station, located at our sign-in box. Each deer must be weighed and have a jaw bone pulled.

Synopsis of Club Rules :
- J.E. Taylor Hunt Club does not participate in the early or late antlerless-only firearms deer seasons.
- Still hunting only, although dogs from surrounding clubs occasionally run deer across the property.
- No Sunday hunting, quail hunting, fishing, ATV joy riding, alcoholic beverages, camping, or fires allowed on club property.
- Members are required to sign in and place their sticker on the map when entering club property; must sign out and remove sticker upon departure.
- Members with "main club" membership get to select three stand sites (two on the main club and one on the 1600 Block.) No one can hunt another member's stand site without that member's permission. No assigned stand sites for Bow Mountain.
- Each main club stand site location must be approved by management, and be at least 300 yards distance from the next nearest stand site.
- Club property is a working tree farm. Occasionally, members will need to relocate stand sites due to logging.
- All stands must be removable.
- Main club members may hunt satellite areas (no assigned stand sites) with management approval.
- All hunters are required to be in their stand 30 minutes before sunrise, and remain in stand until 10 am. Hunters must return to their stand by 2:30 pm and stay until dark. Exceptions always given for family and medical emergencies. If members have a stand location where travel to and from does not affect other hunters, those members may come and go at any time.
- We use the Boone & Crockett scoring system (gross score only.) Bucks taken on the main club with rifle, black powder, or cross-bow must score at least 140 gross inches; bucks taken with bow must score at least 125 gross inches. There are no size limits for bucks taken on the 1600 Block or Bow Mountain, which is great for kids learning to hunt.
- "Cull" bucks may be taken on the main club with management permission. Photo must be posted on board for all to see.
- Hunting areas for spring turkey season are on a first come basis. No rifles allowed during turkey season.
- All members are expected to participate in one club workday per year.
